For the Cocktail

cranberry juice
Freshly squeezed juice from one lemon

gin
For the Ginger Syrup
2-

piece ginger
peeled and finely chopped
1/2
cup
coconut sugar or unrefined brown sugar

filtered water
To serve
Ice cubes
lemon slices and fresh cranberries
Instructions
Prepare the ginger syrup first - place all the ingredients in a sauce pan over low heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Strain and let cool.
Place the cranberry juice, gin and lemon juice in a pitcher, add the cooled ginger syrup and mix well to combine.
Fill the serving glasses with ice cubes and pour the punch evenly.
Garnish with lemon slices and fresh cranberries.
Notes
You can use lime instead of lemon. If you already have the ginger syrup, you'll have the cocktail ready in just a few minutes.
