Grilled Kabobs with Balsamic Thyme Marinade

Teriyaki This is a tangy, salty, sweet marinade that is versatile enough to marinate veggies, mushrooms, poultry, pork, sausage, fish, and beef. Food should marinate at least 30 minutes, or as long as 2-3 hours for maximum flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of poultry meat, mushrooms, or veggies, cut into 1 1/2 cubes
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
  • 6-8 fresh thyme sprigs some leaves removed from the stems
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Combine marinade ingredients. Place cubed food into a shallow baking dish and pour marinade over the top. Toss to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or up to 2-3 hours.
  • Thread food onto skewers and discard marinade. Cook over medium-high heat on a preheated, well-oiled grill.
